My love of travel began at a young age, spending 6 to 8 weeks a year on road trips throughout the United States. We covered 47 states! One of my earliest memories was being amazed at the differences in the various regions by their food.
After attending Texas Christian University for my undergraduate degree and graduate school at the University of Colorado at Boulder, both in Organizational Management/Finance, I embarked on a long career in finance and sales. But my hobby was designing travel itineraries, most of the trips I never actually took due to family and work demands on my time. After a brief early retirement, I decided, after a year of study, to follow my passion for travel and in 2017 started Epicurean Journeys. While the focus was originally intended to be on culinary tours, my business quickly morphed into something else entirely, and I now specialize not only in culinary travel but cultural travel, ocean and river cruising, and group as well as independent travel.
I have lived in Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana and currently have a summer home in Wisconsin. I speak English and French and am learning German.
My goal is to provide creative, unique and experiential travel design, planning and execution based on the client’s interests and desires in order that clients can experience a sense of place and the wonder of a destination they could not do on their own.
As Virtuoso members, we can deliver access, upgrades and amenities which are simply not available to the general public and most definitely not found on online booking sites.
